My first interaction with my mother on gender expectation had to be at age five, cleaning is a skill girls of my culture must learn early. As stated by my mother quite often through out my childhood.
The most recent interaction has to be at work, were everyone else on my crew is male and I am the only women driver on the night shift. The man expect me to need their help just because I am a women and they are surprised when I dont ask for help and do it on my own.

Gender and Communication class
The service learning organizations people we met on Thursday was great, I was most impressed with The Gathering Place and their Representative : Justine, although I look forward to doing my volunteer work at any of the agencies.
